Compound Quick Access

Compound Quick Access enhances user navigation with its easy shortcut icon. It is only available for Bookmarks, Dashboard, Notifications, and Quick Add items.

1. Create a Compound Quick Access

1. Open Settings > System Settings.
2. Select the Navigations menu.
3. Select the existing layout. To create a new layout, please refer to the Navigation Layout page.
4. Under the Interface Builder section, click on the "Add Item" button > choose "Same Level".
5. Choose the "Compound Quick Access" as the item type.
6. Click the "Add" button.
7. Input the type for the quick access item. It will auto-populate the Label and Icon, but you can change it as you like.
8. Click "Add New" to include more items.
9. Click "Update" to save the configuration.
10. Reorder by dragging and dropping the compound quick access to the top of the navigation layout.
11. Click on the "Save" button to save the layout.

Important Note:

The Quick Add item must have atleast one children. Please look at the "Adding Quick Add Item" section to add one.

2. Set Up Quick Add Items

Within the Compound Quick Access, a "Quick Add Item" feature streamlines the process of creating new items for selected records. This functionality minimizes the need to navigate away from the current page.

1. Click on the "Quick Add" item > Choose "Add Item - Sub Item."
2. Select the "Record Button" type.
3. Specify the item details:
   1. Label: Provide a label for the Quick Add Item (e.g., "Add New Quotes").
   2. Icon: Input a relevant icon.
   3. Button Type: Choose "Open Add Modal" as the button type.
   4. Record: Select the record to associate with the Quick Add Item.
4. Click the "Add" button to proceed.

5. Click the "Save" button to confirm the Quick Add Item setup.

2.1. Adding a Hotkey to Quick Add Items

For an even quicker way to add items using Quick Add item, we provide a keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + [Hotkey].

Here's how you can set hotkeys for Quick Add Items:

1. Click on the Quick Add item > Choose "Params".
2. Select +data and +hotkey.
3. Input any alphabetical character (uppercase or lowercase) as the hotkey. For example, "k"
